                    Make it a good weekend vacation!

Things to do:
Drag Main Street in Martinez and go shopping in all the antique shops.  Visit the new train station, the Marina, Chamber of Commerce, check out the new Martinez Junior High School (same location) and the new Alhambra High School with our new athletic facilities as well as the performing arts center.

Play Golf:
Play 9 holes of golf @ Buchanan Course adjacent to the Hotel.  There are several great golf courses within 10 to 15 miles with affordable green fees.  Schedule a week in advance for tee times.  In Walnut Creek play Boundary Oak or in Concord play Diablo Creek.

Transportation:
Concord Bart is only 2 miles from the Hotel.  The hotel might have a shuttle to it.  Take the Bart train to see the Oakland A's at the Oakland coliseum or the Giants at their new ball park in downtown San Francisco.  Or---just sitesee.

It's a short drive to-----
See what 50 years did to the once sleepy towns of Concord, Walnut Creek, Danville, Pleasant Hill & Pleasanton.  
Willows Shopping Center has great stores and restaurants and is located on Diamond Blvd. just 1/2 mile from the hotel.  
There is a great car collection at the Blackhawk Museum in Danville.  
The all-new Pleasant Hill Crescent Plaza is a wonderful shopping surprise.  
OR---cross the new Benicia Bridge for antique shopping in Benicia or just enjoy the marina and waterways.  
Fairfield has discount outlets, olive oil tasting rooms, the Jelly Belly Factory, and the Budweiser Brewery.
Mt. Diablo State Park has several entrances.  Drive up and view how all of Contra Costa County has grown.

And, there is always the Wonderful Napa Valley-------
